Two SHS Projects Shortlisted for 2019 Offsite Construction Awards
We have recently been informed that two of our bridge projects, Taplow Footbridge and Knostrop Footbridge have been short listed for Infrastructure Project of the Year in the Offsite Construction Awards. The awards celebrate best practice in offsite prefabrication and assembly. Both projects were manufactured in our North Yorkshire facility and trial assembled before being split into large transportable sections for delivery to site. This approach is typical for all our work, not just bridges, where we endeavour to carry out as much of the manufacture and assembly off site. The trial assembly ensures that all the interfacing elements are controlled and matched to ensure a first time fit on site. The reduction of our site activities makes projects more quicker and safer to install benefitting both ourselves and our clients.
