Stunning Macallan Distillery Project Completed

After a three-year construction programme the Rogers Stirk Harbour +  Partners (RSHP) designed £100M new Macallan Distillery has been completed.

The completed project, with its undulating grid-shell roof, looks stunning and whilst it has been designed and constructed to create a stunning contemporary production facility and visitors centre it still sits comfortably within the beautiful Spey Valley.

SH Structures were selected by Principal Contractor the Robertson Group to supply, manufacture and install an all the structural steelwork for the project.  Our scope of works included several elements including the feature tubular steelwork that supports the undulating timber grid-shell roof, internal and external façade framework, mash house and still plant room structures with flooring along with a link bridge and a flue stack.

It has been a pleasure for us to be part of the delivery team and the result is something we are very proud of.

‘’This was a one-off scheme on which everyone worked very closely together to complete a very complex and stunning project, thanks again for your teams input’’
