SH Structures involved in two Stirling Prize shortlisted projects

We were pleased to see this year’s shortlist for the UK’s premier architectural award, the Stirling Prize, includes two projects which SH Structures were involved in.  The new London Bridge Station saw us provide the bespoke columns for the extensive glazed south facade. Our involvement in the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) Macallan Distillery was far more extensive with the steelwork packages forming a significant part of the build. The end result is stunning and it is a project that was a pleasure to be involved in.  The scheme was designed by RSHP and Arup and constructed by Robertson Construction. The facility has a raised the bar in terms of the visitor experience for those who enjoy the famous Scottish Whisky Trail.  The distillery has also been shortlisted for this year’s Structural Steel Design Awards so hopefully it will receive the recognition it deserves.
