All platers undertake in-process inspection of their work with senior platers responsible for inspection of other work. · Welders - all welders have undertaken external testing and are approved in accordance with BS EN 288 Part 3 1992 to carry out weld procedures in accordance with BS EN 287 Part 1 1992. Welder approvals are generally undertaken on butt-welds in 45 degree inclined fixed hollow sections requiring positional welding of all types. The difficulty of these procedures usually negates the requirement for additional weld testing/procedures to fulfil specific requirements on contracts. · Machinists - all machinists are experienced in the use
of our sawing/shearing/drilling etc. machinery and are also responsible
for off-loading and distribution of materials and loading of finished
fabricated steelwork. Office/site · Drawing Office - Detailed fabrication drawings prepared on CAD systems using Choicecad, Truecad 2000, Autocad release 14.0 & 2000, X-steel or manually depending on project type. · Estimating · Contracts · Purchasing · Commercial · Accounts · Administration
