IABSE Future of Design Conference 2015
Hosted by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineers (IABSE) the one day conference saw SH Structures’ Tim Burton do a presentation with Glasgow artist and sculpture Andy Scott on the building of the Kelpies. Whilst it may be a striking work of public art the Kelpies are also a great project to showcase the benefit of collaborative working. The event was a great success and we would encourage young professionals to look at what IABSE has to offer as an organisation. As corporate members SH Structures will continue to support IABSE at similar events in the future.
The objective of the conference is to encourage and inspire young engineers, architects and other professionals early in their careers, and help them to share their experience and establish a network of contacts among their peers.
