Health and safety has always played a major part in the way S H Structures approaches each project. All site staff have CSCS cards and the company has a policy of ongoing training for all staff members.

S H Structures works closely with its site erection teams and as part of the industry Incident and Injury Free Initiative, the company now uses the 3-d model created for each project as part of the induction process before work starts on site. Using a viewer on a laptop, the Site Manager is able to provide the site team with a 3-d walk-through of the structure to be erected to supplement the conventional method statement and drawings. This has proved to be a powerful addition to procedure, enabling the site teams to contribute more actively to the safe erection of a project.
