Swansea COPR Bay footbridge opens to the public

Swansea is in the process of a major redevelopment called Copr Bay. The scheme includes a coastal park, a 3,500 capacity arena and other leisure and hospitality space. Linking the city centre with the new arena is the SH Structures supplied footbridge. The 49m span bridge was designed by ACME architects and engineers NEY & Partners. The perforated arch bridge is entirely made out of plate, some of which has been specially curved to produce the stunning complex shape. The first events start in March so thousands of visitors will enjoy crossing the bridge in the months to come.
