River Thames Taplow Footbridge successfully installed

The Knight Architects designed Taplow Footbridge which is situated near Boulter’s Lock was successfully floated down from its assembly area and located on its piers on 14th December.

The elegant slender footbridge was manufactured and assembled up river from the site by SH Structures with structural engineering  by COWI UK and the marine operations and installation process being carried out by main contractor Land & Water for client Berkeley Homes.

This stunning piece of bridge architecture will undoubtedly  make a welcome addition to the many historic structures across the River Thames
