Merchant Square Footbridge secures RIBA Award
At a ceremony held at the University of Greenwich the Royal Institute of British Architects announced that the Merchant Square footbridge was one of the winners of the London Regional Awards 2016. Completed by SH Structures in 2015 the dramatic ‘Fan Bridge’ designed by Knight Architects has proved to be a great success with visitors who are captivated by the beauty of the structure at the times when it opens for viewing each week. The bridge is a great example of how there are still opportunities to bring something unique to the built environment.
