SH Structures project picks up prestigious award
The Cabot Circus roof scheme in Bristol picked one of the world's premier awards for engineering excellence at a ceremony hosted by the Institution of Structural Engineers. Winner in the Commercial and Retail Structures category, the scheme was one of 40 shorlisted projects from around the world. SH Structures worked closely with consultants SKM anthony hunts, who developed the design of the complex slender glazed gridshell structure.

SH Structures double win at 2009 Steel Design Awards
Two of SH Structures recent projects picked up awards at this years Steel Design Awards held at the Science Museum in London. The company completed two projects on the Cabot Circus development in Bristol, the glazed car park link bridge, which received a commendation and the grid shell roof, which was one of only five projects to receive a Steel Design Award.

SH Structures Winners in CN Specialist Awards
SH Structures have won the Steelwork category in this years Construction News Specialist Contractors Awards. This is the second time we have won the award and we are delighted that the judges once again recognised our commitment to our clients and our excellent health and safety record. Amongst the projects we have recently completed, the judges singled out our work on the Cabot Circus development as being particularly worthy of praise.

SH Structures projects in for Steel Design Awards
Two projects on the Cabot Circus retail development in Bristol completed by SH Structures have been selected for viewing by judges of the 2009 Steel Design Awards. The company supplied and installed the new glazed link bridge and the dramatic steel gridshell roof for the development. The designs by architects Wilkinson Eyre and Chapman Taylor are both great examples of the use of steel in modern architecture. The short-list of entires will be announced later this year.

SH Structures Short Listed for Specialist Award
We are delighted that after another successful year we have been short listed for the Construction News Specialist Contractors Awards. The Awards which will be held at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 5 March, provide a showcase for specialist contractors in various construction disciplines. We are up against some tough competition but are happy to have made it to the final. Amongst the projects submitted was the new glazed link bridge at the Highcross retail development in Leicester.
