Another prestigious award for SH Structures
SH Structures were in Luxemburg on 13th September to collect a European Steel Design Award. The awards, which are presented every two years, acknowledge the creative and outstanding use of steel in architecture and construction. Entries from 19 countries were received and SH Structures project, the Royal Air Force Museum, Cosford was this years entry from the UK.
The project which was designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects is a great example of the benefits of involving a specialist steel contractor early on in the design process. This collaborative approach with the architect, consultant, main contractor and other specialist contractors can bring significant benefits to a project and Cosford, despite its complexity was completed on time and on budget.
