WoodAwards
The S H Structures project the new Alnwick Gardens Pavilion and Visitors Centre was awarded a commendation at this year’s WoodAwards. The project features a complex steel and timber gridshell roof and the company provided main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine with a ‘one stop shop’ for the steel and timber composite structure. The project demonstrates that the experience gained on the installation of complex steel structures can be applied successfully to other disciplines and is part of S H Structures' continued pursuit of providing clients with a more holistic approach to contracting.

Stirling Prize
Evelina Children’s Hospital and the New Welsh Assembly Building in Cardiff have been short listed for this years' prestigious Stirling Prize. We are delighted at being associated with projects selected for the UK architecture’s highest award.

RIBA Awards
Three of SH Structures major projects have recently been awarded prestigious RIBA Awards. The projects, the Astra Zeneca Headquarters, The Welsh Assembly and Evelina Children’s Hospital cover three different categories, commercial, public and health and all feature large elements of complex structural steelwork in which the company specialises.

Structural Steel Design Awards
The company recently attended this year’s awards ceremony and were delighted to be rewarded with a Steel Design Award for the National Assembly for Wales project. The project was a great team effort and we were able to develop a very good relationship with the client’s team, which included Richard Rogers Architects, Arup and main contractor Taylor Woodrow.
